JC Penny Malaysia

Sunday, April 27, 2008

Mysury is so excited when she gets to know that JC PENNY is now available in Malaysia. At least that was what she thought when she saw the banner of JC PENNY.com.my via Maybank2u website.

For your info, JC PENNY is one of the most leading American brands that support online ordering as well as physical store located widely in US.

Product ranging from women, lingerie, juniors, SEPHORA, jewelry, shoes, men, kids and baby, bedding, bath, window, furniture, home décor, houseware, gift and etc.

For the Malaysian market, the choice is a bit smaller (yup, no furniture available). If you happen to browse their online catalogue you will definitely fall in love with their design.

So she browsed and browsed happily and almost (yes almost a click away to purchase this completer set) when the final page shows the price of RM 245. What? It was supposed to be RM 94 only ( ohh that is excluding the handling fee / transport fee ) an extra of RM 148 which is even higher that the cost of the completer set..

With a broken heart, Mysury just left the page idle for an hour, after that she just click the close button.

I guess it’s just way too expensive for her...

But for those who is really interested in buying this beautiful completer set with a lace motif on it, you can do so via http://www.jcpenny.com.my/ , they come in 3 colours i.e lilac, pink and white.

Weekend has always been the most looking forward day of the week as weekend is the time Mysury could spent her precious hours with closest ties, friends and of coz the beloved husband.

Last weekend, Mysury paid a visit to SSF Home Deco in Bandar Sri Damansara (accompanied by beloved husband and a close friends) while eyeing around, she stumbled upon to one corner and her eyes was mesmerised with this beautiful sight of the corner. She just could not move, feel like taking e'thing there and bring back home and arranged everything back just like it was : )
Everything was arranged in the mixture of pastel/soft blue and white, the furniture is pastel blue decorated with white flower / deco, everything is just so well decorated and place at the right place and the sight is just too beautiful to let go, so Mysury capture that particular moment and here it is. A bit blurry as it was captured via phone camera and dim light around the area is not helping that much either, but at a woman must do what she has to do and that will be to “capture moments to last” at least.

P/s : SSF is a great place to look for fresh ideas since the furniture or similar to it, is not readily available in common furniture places. Though its a bit expensive to some people like Mysury but the price reflect the good quality and design especially this lovely dovely bluely set ..!!

In the mood of Green

Thursday, April 3, 2008

Mysury has always belief that God created everything with reasons, reasons that sometimes we realized at the instance of our clear state of mind or sometimes reason that we somehow overlook and only realized when it happen to us.

Colors for Mysury are the most beautiful element created by God, it fills this world with wonders and beauty, remarkable sight is existed with mixtures of beautiful colors. This week topic that excites Mysury is about colors, and she’s more into green and white (her essential choice).

In her journey to create her own style of living, Mysury has personally choose green and white in her living and dining area, simply because for Mysury green is the most soothing decorating color, combining it with white the symbol of purity can create a very positive atmosphere in her home. Coincidentally, through her reading, green is always associated with money, luck, financial success and prosperity, fertility, good crops and harvest, cooperation. Well looks like Mysury has choose the right choice for her home :)

Go Green ladies !!

Some info about the green colors, for other colors reader can go to this link

http://www.truecolors.org/color_meanings.html

Green expresses itself psychologically as human will in operation: as persistence and determination. Green is an expression of firmness and consistency. Its strength can lead to a resistance to change if it is not proven that the change will work or is warranted. Those with Green as a Primary Color value their intellect and capabilities above all else. Comfort in these areas creates a sense of personal security and self-esteem.

Green characteristics seek to increase the certainty of their own values through being assertive and requiring differences from others in intellectual areas. They are rarely settled in their countenance, since they depend upon information rather than feelings to create a sense of well-being. Green expresses the grounding of theory and data in its practical applications and creative constructs.

Entryway Benches

Wednesday, April 2, 2008

Mysury is very much into home deco, her favorites choice is mostly the touch of an English deco. Ideas from Ikea, SSF Home Deco, Janine, Lovely Lace, Laura Ashley, JC Penny, Macy’s, Biggie Best and Pottery Barn are her main guru’s for now. (Second choice is the colonial concept, Insyallah her next home in 00 years time : )

White furniture and home deco from rustic to shabby chic to gloss finishing will be her main material to be played with, with pastel combination, those soft background will be bring to life. This week, Mysury topic on house living is concerning the entryway, and benches will be the main focused.

Since moving to her new home few months back, many ideas and resources has been allocated to other important part of the house aka the living room, dining, bedroom and kitchen. Now so much for the moments areas like the entryway is being push a side for a while till time and resources will not be a strict constraint, and now Mysury is thinking of decorating the entryway of her house and with the concept of having benches to be placed near the staircase area, she start searching for everything about benches…

The journey begins..

Mysury find this article really good to help her making her choice

Entryway Benches -Why They're a Must Have in Every Home

. One of the easiest ways to leave a lasting, warm impression on first-time visitors to your home and to make those visitors feel welcome is to place an entryway bench just inside your main entryway. Not only do entryway benches create a warm and inviting atmosphere, they are also very beautiful and are practical pieces of furniture as well.
· By incorporating the use of entryway benches into your entry hall you can offer visitors a comfortable place to sit while they are removing their winter layers of clothing or offer them a convenient storage space to keep their coats, hats and gloves. No more will you have to hunt throughout the rooms of your home or in spare closets for coats and hats that have been carelessly strewn about when you have a gorgeous entryway bench in which to store them.
· And there are so many styles and finishes associated with entryway benches that you are sure to find that perfect bench to coordinate with your existing décor, whether your style is eclectic, country or formal. You can choose from popular styles such as Western, Cottage and Antique, just to name a few.
· Take for instance the French Country hall bench manufactured by Powell. This beautiful entryway bench is constructed in the French Country design and features a weathered “linen” finish and a warm French Maple finished bench top. The bench flips up to reveal a storage chest and the back panel is adorned with a mirror and hooks which is perfect for hanging your favorite hat or scarf.
· If you prefer something a little simpler in design, perhaps the Cottage Hall Bench, also crafted by Powell, would be more to your taste. This simple hall bench features a shutter back panel and open slat side panels with a “Black Sand through Terra Cotta Weathered Finish.” An added bonus with this beautiful entryway bench is the hidden storage under the bench seats.
· If you like antiques and a more classic look, you will love the Antique Entryway Bench – Hall Tree. Available in both antique and cherry finishes, this gorgeous bench is exquisitely designed using sturdy wood and wood veneers.
· You can even choose from upholstered hall benches like the Nostalgic Oak Cedar Hall Bench. This bench features a fully upholstered seat in a floral design and a self-rising storage tray. You can also customize upholstered hall benches by covering them with your own needlepoint or family heirloom fabrics.
· And adding an entryway bench to your hall is very affordable. With benches ranging in price from $150 to $600, you are sure to find the bench that will perfectly match your personality, decorating style and budget. Just keep in mind that you do not need a grand or overstated bench to make your entryway truly spectacular. Even a simply designed wrought iron entryway bench will bring that added design element and feeling of warmth to the space in which you welcome your guests and give them the first glance into your home.

As for Mysury, with the end concept in the mind, (a concept that matches her white furniture, a small area, pastel colors, cozy finishing) she has choose the concept ideas like in the picture from Pottery Barn.

Setback: How is Mysury supposed to get this shelf & benches stack with box in Malaysia? This idea of benches is not synonym with the Malaysian concept of living, but to Mysury observation those shelf is available from IKEA and MACY – price range within RM 300 – RM 500. But those benches is a bit difficult to find, perhaps Mysury will have to opt for other thing, maybe a chest drawer or big treasure box covered with soft rug on top or maybe a sofa covered material storage box available at MACY at RM 150 each.

Or maybe, Mysury can customed made the benches from Mr Capenter : )

The choice is her's ; )
